Vynk is a community platform for UPSC aspirants, operated by Steltos. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

• Personal Information: Name (display name on profile), email address (used for account and login), User ID (unique identifier assigned to your account).
• Content You Create: Photos, voice recordings, files and documents, messages, posts, and other content you share on Vynk.
• Technical Data: App interactions, device token for push notifications, and search queries within the app.

• Providing and personalizing app features
• Account authentication and security
• Delivering messages and posts within the community
• Sending push notifications you've enabled
• Performance monitoring and debugging
• Preventing fraud and abuse on the platform

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. Your data is only shared in these limited cases:

• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider (US-based, SOC 2 Type II certified). supabase.com/privacy
• Cloudflare R2: Media files (photos, videos, documents) you upload are stored on Cloudflare R2 (zero-egress CDN). Cloudflare does not use your data for advertising. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: Optional social login. We only receive your email and display name — nothing else.
• Resend (Email): Used to send OTP and transactional emails. We do not share personal data beyond what is needed for email delivery.
• Legal Obligations: When required by law to safeguard user safety or comply with a valid legal request.

• Encrypted in transit using HTTPS / TLS
• Encrypted at rest using AES-256
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• Supabase database is SOC 2 Type II certified
• Data access restricted via Row Level Security (RLS)
• Messages encrypted in transit and at rest (not end-to-end, to allow moderation)

Your data is retained only while your account is active. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems.

Debugging and crash logs may be retained for up to 30 days after account deletion for the purpose of technical diagnostics, after which they are automatically purged.

You can permanently delete your Vynk account and all associated data at any time through any of the following methods:

Vynk is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 years of age.

If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use Vynk. If we become aware that we have collected data from a user under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Please contact us at novadaddyy@gmail.com if you believe this has occurred.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data via your profile settings.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data (see Section 7).
• Objection: Opt out of non-essential data uses by contacting us directly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Vynk after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
